Parker Bulls Soccer Club
WHO WE ARE
The Parker Bulls Soccer Club (PBSC) was formed in 2011 to provide a player development program for youth soccer players in the Waimea community. The club is an extension of Parker School but is open to all players, regardless of their school affiliation. The club is looking for motivated players who aspire to improve both their individual skills and knowledge of the game as they progress through our program, which incorporates elements of the US Soccer Federation's Youth Development Curriculum and a number of professional youth development programs.
PBSC competes in the Big Island Chapter of the Hawai'i Youth Soccer Association (BI-HYSA). BI-HYSA offers seasons in the fall (Sep-Nov) and spring (Apr-Jun) each year, with leagues in the U8, U10, U12, U14 and U19 age divisions.
FALL 2014 SEASON INFORMATION
Fall season dates are as follows:
Tuesday, August 5 - First day of training.
September 6 - November 1 - League play runs (9 matches, all played in Waimea).
November 8 - Playoffs will be held (top four teams in each division qualify).
Tuesdays & Thursdays - Team training sessions will be held at the Parker School soccer field. We consider these sessions integral to achieving our development goals, for both the individual player and each team. Be advised, missing training may affect playing time on match day. Times are staggered to maximize field space as follows:
U8: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
U10: 3:30-5:00 p.m.
U12: 4:00-6:00 p.m.
U14: We do not anticipate having a U14 team at this time.
NEW THIS FALL: Mondays, 3:00-5:00 p.m. - Optional club-wide session will be offered. Sessions will focus on footwork and small-sided games to reinforce introduced skills.
MATCH SCHEDULE:Unless a special rescheduling takes place, all matches will be played in Waimea this season. Matches are expected to be held on Saturdays from September 6 through November 1, with a playoff day scheduled for November 8 (location TBD).
Big Island HYSA charges a $45 player fee per year. This fee covers two seasons, fall 2014 and spring 2015. In addition, the club charges a $125 training fee per season, which covers HYSA team registration fees, equipment purchases and club expenses. NEW THIS FALL: PBSC is offering a family discount. Club dues for each additional sibling are just $100 per person. There is no uniform deposit fee. We will be issuing uniforms (jerseys and shorts) as part of your enrollment.
Fall season registration is now open. We will be holding a club registration day on Tuesday, August 5 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Parker School soccer field. This is the same day as our first practice of the season, so we are asking everyone who is interested in playing this fall to come out that day and complete your child's registration paperwork. You may also download the forms below, complete them and bring them with you to registration day.
The following items are required to complete your player registration with the league:
- A 1” x 1” ID photo (for player ID cards)
- A check, payable to Parker School in the amount indicated under "Fees" above.
PLEASE READ ALL FORMS VERY CAREFULLY, particularly the Parent/Player Promise!
Registration forms are due August 15. We will take the first two weeks of training to assess players in each age group and determine where to place each team (and each player in the event we have more than one team in an age group). An official schedule will be released by the league prior to the season, and we will distribute that to you as soon as we have it in hand.
NOTE: If you have played in BI-HYSA leagues in the fall 2013 or spring 2014 seasons, your certificate should be on file with the league. Check with us via email for confirmation.
