Parker School Students, Poe Karsin, Zoe Vann, Isabella Christian, Hannah Armour, Will Touchet, Conner Brown, Macey Note, Zachary Peterson, Kaikea Mead, Audrey Nixon, Cloe Parks, Megan Argueso-Nott, Annika Berezney and Mrs. Brown and three Goodfellow Bros. employees pose with the bulldozer used on the garden.

When the students at Parker’s Lower School Campus were in need of help renovating their garden, Goodfellow Bros., Inc. answered the call with a $5,000 grant and the use of earthmoving equipment to make the renovation.

“As part of the community we always like to contribute what we can to help. The garden has been such an important part of the lower school's additional teaching for the kids, that we were happy to contribute our resources to get it done sooner so the kids could resume planting with a new garden. We were glad that we could help," said Goodfellow Bros., Inc.’s, Big Island Regional Manager, Ed Brown.

Each grade has their own garden to tend.

Third grader, Zoe Vann said her favorite part of the garden is “the lavender and cucumbers because I helped plant them”.

Willie Touchet commented that he likes “the lettuce and tomatoes”.

Annika Berezney states that she likes that the garden is a “wishing you well garden”.

Cloe Parks favorite memory of helping with the garden is “working as a school family felt really connected”.

As the year moves on the student garden will be a hands on learning experience for all students.
