DRAMATIQUES PRESENTS 'INTO THE WOODS' THIS WEEKEND
Parker School Dramatiques presents the Broadway junior version of "Into the Woods" Friday through Sunday at the Parker School Theatre.
This hour-long student musical featuring Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk and even a witch, is the perfect family affair.
The witch orders a baker and his wife to retrieve the cloak from Little Red Riding Hood, a slipper from Cinderella, a lock of golden hair from Rapunzel and Jack’s precious cow and bring all of the items back to her.
Dramatiques is a student theatrical group at Parker School, supervised by Maren Oom, fine arts director. “This is one of the most collaborative efforts we’ve had on a production. Art students, Dramatiques members and parents all came together to create the set, costumes and lend a helping hand,” said Oom.
Children and adults alike will enjoy the harmonious adventures of the cast as they make their way into the woods.
Into the Woods will be showing at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Parker School Theatre. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for students.
